Memorial Day Parade

BJ and Dad (coach) and Collin and Mom (team parent) marched in the Auburn parade like we do every year for Sandlot Baseball. It was a very hot day!! Eva strolled and slept, but loved all the people while she was awake. Afterwards we grilled some hamburgers and sausage and had a nice relaxing afternoon. Summer is officially here!!! Memorial Day Picnic

Just a few photos of the kids (and Mommy!) before the picnic at Aunt Donna and Uncle Gary's house. Eva has the dress on that Grama Colleen made for her... and this is a nice picture of the boys... before the water madness!!
The big pool wasn't up and ready yet- but the little kiddie pool did the trick! And Daddy went and got a cool sprinkler to keep them busy. And then came the waterguns... and then the hose!!! Good thing summer is finally here!!
Evee got to use her walker outside, too. (we had to change her clothes- but don't worry- we have PLENTY!) Posted by Picasa

Zoo Pictures (trip 2)

It looks like a picture behind her, but it's actually real lions! Eva really liked to look at the animals this time.

BJ acting like a monkey!

Collin, BJ, and Eva posing on the tiger!

BJ, Trevor, Collin and Brandon waiting for the elephant show to start... fyi... elephants weigh 8000 pounds. And if you thought your job was "crappy"... you could have been the guy who was catching elephant poop with a shovel during the show!! (the kids though it was hilarious!) Posted by Picasa

Collin & Beau Bear

Beau Bear comes to visit Mrs. Miller's class every year from France. He's been coming here for ten years! Everyone in the class takes a turn bringing him home to meet their families, and we write in his journal. It rained all weekend when Beau Bear came to visit us, but he went to baseball practice on Friday with Collin and "rested" a lot during the weekend! Eva wanted to eat him, so we had to keep him away from her! Posted by Picasa

Grama's Dresses

These are the most beautiful dresses- Eva is so lucky to have Grama Colleen's homemade dresses... she'll be the best dressed baby for sure!!! Most of them fit pretty well too- I thought they'd be way too big- but as you can see, only a couple are too big. Now if we could just get the weather to cooperate so Eva can wear all of these outside of the house!! She was a good sport about doing a fashion show for Mommy (especially with Daddy playing peek-a-boo behind the camera!)
Also- the bows were very interesting- so much that it was hard to look at the camera while wearing the ones with bows!!!
Hopefully it will be nice out so Eva can wear the red, white & blue dress for Memorial Day!
CUTE hat too! It's reversable- so we had to have two pictures with it!! (also very interesting to chew on, so getting a picture was pretty hard!!) Posted by Picasa

Eva & Margaret

Margaret came over to visit today... Eva wanted to kiss her (or chew on her) and grab her, though... she wouldn't give up! Margaret wasn't really thrilled about being chewed on, so her Mommy had to save her a lot! We did however, get to witness Margaret rolling over for the first time- from her tummy to her back! It was exciting- we all cheered and clapped- and Margaret looked at us like the fools that we are!!!! I can't wait until they can actually play together. Posted by Picasa

Eva's Sippy Cup

We have to tip it up for her still, but otherwise she understands the sippy cup!! (and finds it rather amusing...) It's also pretty fun to throw it off the side of the highchair and wait for Mommy to say "uh-oh" or for the dog to run over to see what kind of food he just scored!
Eva's hair is getting longer now too- we get more comments about her "curly mohawk"! I think it's cute!! (of course, I think everything is cute!- I'm the Mama!) Posted by Picasa

Arrowroot Cookies

Eva had her very first arrowroot cookies today at Auntie Martha's house... Mommy was busy working with Uncle Tom, but Auntie Martha took pictures so we could see what a mess she made!! FYI: Cookies are also way better than baby food!! Posted by Picasa

Big Girl!

Eva can sit up all by herself now... she's growing WAY TOO FAST! She was 16 1/2 lbs. and 28 inches long at her last appointment- the pediatrician said she'll be about 5'8" or 5'9"... tall and thin... and she's ahead of schedule for development (sitting up, trying to crawl, wanting to eat table food, hand and eye coordination...)- I guess with two older brothers- it's the only way to keep up around here!! Posted by Picasa

Samantha's Birthday Party

Too many kids on the trampoline..... but they sure did have fun!! Posted by Picasa

Mommy & Eva

Some of my favorite Mommy moments are just simply holding them against my heart so they can fall asleep peacefully...Happy Mother's Day to all the moms, grandmas, nanas, aunts (including aunties & cousin/aunts!) that we love! Posted by Picasa

Race for the Cure

In celebration of Aunt Donna and Judy's (Jill's Mom) battle and WIN against breast cancer, we all participate in the Race for the Cure at the fairgrounds in Syracuse. It was supposed to pour rain today, but somehow... it was a beautiful day again. According to Aunt Donna, since she had cancer, she can request good weather days as part of her reward for going through such a battle!! We always laugh about it... but it seems to work! Hopefully next year BJ and Collin can race in the Kids for the Cure race like Alex and Luke did this year... they did so well- Luke beat Jeremy across the finish line, so he thought that was great (when the announcer said "looks like he's gonna beat ya, Dad!" when they crossed) Alex ran with his Grandma Judy, who was the 1st survivor to finish the one mile race. (ten minutes- not bad!) Then we all walked the 5K- the babies strolled, of course. You'd think chasing three kids would be enough exercise to be in shape enough to WALK 3 miles, but I was pretty tired! Aunt Donna ran with the kids for a while, and Uncle Gary ran the race then came back around to walk again with us!! It's always a fun day- but best of all- because of these runs and people coming together, times have changed and technology has improved... and we still have our loved ones. Aunt Donna is not only my aunt, but one of my best friends--and I don't know what I would do without her!!! Posted by Picasa

French Fries

Who needs stinky old baby food, when you can have Daddy's homemade french fries?! Posted by Picasa

The Fireman

After a very stressful day (our neighbor's house was distroyed by fire today), Collin was very happy when the fireman let him climb up in the truck. Fire is a very scary thing... especially after the fire accross the street two years ago and the house next door today. We waited at Jeremy and Jill's until it was safe to go back home- Collin was pretty worried that our house was burning. We only had a small amount of damage to our fence and shed... and our yard that we finally got grass to start growing in! Not to mention the garden that I literally finished yesterday! It's the least of everyone's worries though- the neighbor's got out safely... we even had to dogsit for a little while. They have insurance and the red cross is helping them, so they say they're okay. The house is a total loss- we'll probably end up with more yard now, actually. Posted by Picasa
