Mother's Day

There's nothing like waking up on Mother's Day and having coffee in the hot tub!! We all took a swim before we started our 2nd annual gardening and yard work Mother's Day... that's what Mommy wants!! We all worked on the landscaping- it looks so nice! And Eddie, Terri and the kids came over for dinner (Eddie ran the tiller for my garden and various other planting needs that I had!!) It was a such a gorgeous day!

Cleanin' up the CLEVELAND House!

These pictures are from almost two weeks ago- but they're TOO CUTE to NOT post them!! This is the famous Cleveland, NY house that my whole family fell in love with on the north shore of Oneida Lake... and I'm GLAD... I mean... SO So Sad to see it go! It sold last week- just after these photos were taken!

Dandelions...

Eva met a new friend at baseball the other night... Maria is the same age as Eva and she has two brothers (one on Collin's team and one on Cameron's team- same age as BJ)! They sure did have a great time picking the flowers and running around together!

Dinner Dance

We had a great time at Brian's Union Dinner Dance... those electricians know how to PARTY!! He received his 5 year membership pin- can you believe there were men there who have been members for up to 60 years!!! And those retired members were the best dancers at the party!

Water Fight

I can't believe it was 84 degrees here yesterday! The Mommies were in charge of the kids and the food- and we had fun watching the crazy children play in the water! Apparently, Eva was in charge of the hose... and the water fight went on all around her! I tried to get her to look at me for a picture, but she was "doin' the water"!!!!

The older kids went down to the river and to the pond across the road to go fishing- got some croppie (that's what Brian called them- looked like sunfish to me, but what do I know!)... I guess the fishing is really good... until your crazy dog jumps into the pond to fetch your lost bobber! (he got it and brought it back too!!!) Hooch was dying to go with them, and we finally just let him go. He was so good with all the kids- and really loves accompanying the boys when they go to the fishin' hole! They were throwing sticks in for him to fetch too. It is SOOOO nice living in the country!

The RAISING of the BEAM!

I can't believe how much we got accomplished yesterday! Our guys, Ken, Eddie, and Pete, came over to help Brian put up our monster sized barn beam. They made it look easy, too! (All except when no one could reach anymore, and Brian lifted it by himself the last few inches up to the support that held it in place!!!)We even got the loft floor joists and the stairs in! Today we will put the floor in... and move everything from the driveway back into the barn!! We look a little trashy, with everything we own in the driveway!! Good thing we're not on a main road- or people would probably be stopping to try and buy stuff at our "yard sale"!!!!

Fishin'

Eva had a great time fishing at Auntie Martha and Uncle Tom's house on Thursday... of course, you can't really catch anything with a Mickey pole with a Sponge Bob bobber and no hook or bait!! She thought she was fishing though- and she's learning how to use the button and handle!

Collin's fishing trip with PAPA!

Look at that FACE!!! What a cutie pie! (and proud, too!) Collin went on a fishing trip with Papa Walt and caught some sea trout for a fish fry!!

She insisted on sticking her tongue out for the pictures... she came over and put her hat on and said "take my pitch-ure!"

The NEW Swingset!

Boy what a project!! Brian got up this morning and decided that TODAY WAS THE DAY!!... as you can see from the photos- IT TOOK ALL DAY to build the new swing set- and it's not even totally done!

We had several friends come and help Brian... but we still didn't get to "build and play in one day!" I'm not sure who wrote that on the packaging- but they'd have to have a much larger crew to accomplish that!!! Ken and Leslie helped for a while, then Eddie and Terry came over- Terry even made stuffed shells and brought us dinner... we sure do have great friends! And all the kids love each other. Kate and Madison met today and hit it off right away- of course Collin was a little jealous that his "girlfriend" wasn't paying as much attention to him!! Yesterday we caught Collin picking my daffodils (I only HAD a few!) to give to Kate- they're so cute!

We lit the bonfire for the first time this season too...

Eva's Gardening Gloves...

Eva thinks we should head right outside to "garden"- she loves wearing her new hat and gloves- ironically enough, she has the SAME EXACT set at Auntie Martha's house... I think the Easter bunny and Auntie "M" shop at the same Christmas Tree Shop!

Eva's New Belts

Auntie Martha picked out a bunch of new belts for our non-diaper Eva- she can hardly hold her pants up with her lack of "padding"! (not to mention- we love ACCESSORIES!!!)

CHRISTMAS at The Medaj's

That's right... CHRISTMAS! Swimming in the hot tub, playing in the sandbox, fishing CHRISTMAS!
The kids had fun "swimming"...
...and playing... and getting their Christmas presents from Auntie Martha and Uncle Tom! They got these cool picture gift cards for Lowe's. The adults got to sit in the sun and have a drink and eat- and talk about NON-work stuff!
And BJ helped in the kitchen- Uncle Tom had A LOT of patience
for MR. "wants-to-be-a-chef" BJ! We had a delicious dinner- "just like a restaurant!" BJ said!

HOLY COW... we actually went out to play without snow suits on today!!!!
The kids ran around like they'd just been "released"!
