Auburn Doubledays Buddy Night

I'm not sure why my BJ insists on being such a goof!! Here we have Joel, BJ, Ivy, Collin, Hunter, Karleigh, Xavier, Haley, Jordan, Griffin and Logan... The lucky kids who got to go out onto the field with the Auburn Doubledays baseball team! A few were a little nervous... and as you can see... one was obnoxious. Fortunately, he was calm when it mattered!!

Eva was in a pretty good mood, considering it was above ninety degrees at six o'clock at night! She wore her orange dress to match her big brother Collin.

Mommy and Eva

I had to post this... photo courtesy of Jill (the other picture maniac!) This is from last night's baseball game (BJ's). Next week is playoffs- then it's over again until next year. Our rain make-up game was cancelled... due to rain... tonight. Baseball season is very tiring, but it's sad when it's over. I can't believe it's the end of July already!!!

I almost forgot this one- I knew there was another of just the three of our kids. Another one for the screensaver Mom!!! Collin's eyes aren't really closed- he's just "cheesing" really hard!! 

Welcome to Vacation

Of course, after this BIG hail... near tornado... take cover storm, we had to "rig" the canopy back together! (this was our "welcome to the woods", just got everything put together storm!)

Seaplane Rides

"Mama Bear to Papa Bear, Do you read me...Over?!" That's what I heard while riding- no wonder the pilot gave up his voice activated headset to me... the fifth person in a plane with only four headsets. It was SOOOOO beautiful up there- dispite the goofy boys. Collin even got to fly the plane!! And I've never seen such big smiles from all of them. (Especially Sami and Rhianna!) The pilot came right to the dock infront of our cabins, to pick us up. We saw several moose, as he swooped down to show us... simply amazing! 

Swimming in Long Pond

I'm not sure why every body of water in Maine is called a "pond"- no matter how big it is. The kids had a great time playing with Zachary's remote controlled boat... Uncle Dave would drive and they chased it around. It was so nice for them to be able to swim whenever they wanted to... the lake/pond is right in front of our cabins.

Cold Stream Falls

Collin lost a water shoe at the falls- you would think it would have floated! And as usual-- Eva loved the water! I'm pretty sure we all did! And yes, that is Collin sliding down the water fall... all the kids took turns and we only had a few small injuries! 

Evening Photos

Just a few of my favorite evening photos-Brian and Uncle Dave... the evening of "the incident" (they were a little LATE getting home one night- long story short- they got lost, and to top it off... Brian hit a rock and the canoe FELL OFF the van, taking our side mirror with it!!... so at MIDNIGHT, when we were about to call the police- they got home safely- if that's what you call it, with Patti and I pacing around waiting for them!)

One of many gorgeous sunsets! This was right before "the hatch"- for those of you who are not familiar... which, until this day, included me... that is when the mayflies hatch, come up to the surface and have to live long enough for their wings to dry so they can fly away. The men and the trout go CRAZY!!
