Trick or Treat...

...smell my feet...give me something good to eat!
Eva discovered quickly that trick or treating results in CANDY!

BJ's friend Eric went with us- and Alex and Luke...the kids had a blast! It's so funny watching them run from house to house... and that's BEFORE we let them eat candy! Brian has to inspect everything when we get home- and test a few! Then the kids eat... then we recover... for DAYS! Posted by Picasa

Halloween 2006

Eva practiced this morning with a pumpkin costume that Aunt Mary gave to us. We're not sure which of the costumes were Mommy's- but lots of them were- and they were re-handed down to us from her children. Eva even wore her spider tights!

I went to school to help with Collin's party and parade today... thought it was only fair since I went to BJ's dance... parents had to stay in one class today- safety RULES! I'm glad they're concerned with the children's safety- but I'm always with mine... it stinks how the world has changed so that we have to pick which kid we're going to be with instead of visiting both classes. Anyway... I figured the big kids could dress themselves!!

As you can see Collin was right in the middle of everything- as usual! He's not shy! They sang and danced and entertained the parents... CUTE! Posted by Picasa

Pumpkin Carving

Eva really got into the pumpkin carving- or at least getting the guts out and picking out the seeds! The boys tried to show her how to do it- but every time they tried she just wanted their scooper instead of hers! At one point she was putting all the seeds back into the half empty pumpkins! (And she spent a lot of time sitting ON the seeds!) Daddy had to take her up for a bath- to get her out of the pumpkins- while the boys and I finished the emptying of guts! When we were done with her pumpkin, we lit it (she was getting tired), and she was more interested in the fire inside than the actual face!! So with a little distraction- and tasting, as you can see- we got her picture! I had to change her clothes AGAIN, so she could go to bed. Then the boys and I were able to finish THEIR masterpieces. Posted by Picasa

CUTE and SPOOKY!

Here are the final results of the pumpkin carving!! Eva's has the same teeth that she has! And BJ and Collin designed their own (with just slight "Mommy Tweeking"!)

BJ's Halloween Dance

Jill and I had the privilege of chaperoning the 3rd- 5th grade Halloween dance at the school last night. It was... interesting. Kids actually dance at this age!! Not BJ, of course... he was too busy chasing and being chased!

Here we have Eric and BJ before the dance- goofin' off, as usual!

Alex was an army guy... Luke was a skeleton... and Brandon was Luigi (from a video game). Kaylee was some kind of feathery princess, Katie was a wizard and Eric was a pirate. BJ was a lionheart knight. There was so much running, dancing and fooling around. Only one near fight in the crowd, a couple crying girls, and a few kids falling down. Some kids were even break dancing! The eighties are back- get out the cardboard!! Some of the Moms were reminiscing. I still can't believe that they serve pizza and HI-C to these kids! They were so sugared up at the end of the night! But it wasn't the end of the night for us... we had a sleep over! BJ and Collin invited eric, Alex and Luke to stay over! So they had some more junk food at our house (I bought lemonade, cookies, Doritos and some other goodies, just for this occasion!) The boys were up until 4AM! And I don't know if you noticed the time on my post- but it's only 9 o'clock! Eva was up at 7:30 and... you guessed it... Brian HAD to hunt this morning! He's already home though- it's pouring out! (poor Brian) Well- enough said at this early hour- gotta go feed lots of kids!! (But...I love every minute of it!... tired... but lovin' it!) Posted by Picasa

Eva's Birthday Party

Eva's favorite part of the party was the cake , of course!! She was so cute- clapping at herself and helping herself to the cake (we let her dig in on one side of the cake, and cut the other side for people to eat!) She was so good- and HAPPY! Such a little "Princess"!

Here we have some of the guests- everyone had a good time... doing crafts, eating, visiting, and even playing a little musical chairs!! We even got the "big boys" into it!!! I loved planning the party for our princess Eva's first birthday- it was a little wild with "knights" with their swords, and slightly "over the top", but as long as everyone had a good time- it was a success!! Eva received some great gifts- thanks to everyone for your help and for sharing Eva's special day with her! Posted by Picasa

Princess Eva!

Just a quick preview of Princess Eva- the boys helped me take a few photos of Evee in ONE of her princess dresses- I'm making a sign for her birthday party. Isn't she ADORABLE! Posted by Picasa

Apple Fest

What a beautiful day for the Apple Fest- usually it's raining and 50 degrees out!!

Don't you love the distressed princess and her hero knights!?

The Pumpkin Patch

Well... we finally found a pumpkin patch... after our regular one was closed, we hunted for another one... for HOURS! But, FINALLY, we found one and the pumpkins are great! Eva enjoyed the hunting- especially because she and Daddy were on a mission to find her the "perfect pumpkin". We ended up with ten pumpkins- Mommy likes to decorate the house with them! Good thing they had the wagons, because we found the best ones way WAY far from the car!--

Usually I post one picture of the kids together, but I couldn't decide which on was better- so you got them both!! And one of just Eva- enjoying her apple donut (anything with sugar will do just fine!)

Rollerskating Party

The boys were funny at the school rollerskating party- there wasn't very much skating going on! It was more like a "friend" chase- if ya know what I mean!! ... With a little pizza and soda to liven things up! Posted by Picasa

Eva's Hair-Dos

Eva finally has enough hair to do something with!! She doesn't really sit still very well yet, though! Posted by Picasa

Owasco Lake

The kids and I went to take pictures of Grama and Papa's new "lake house" today- so of course they needed to pose for a photo! Apparently Eva thought it was quite funny to sit on a piling with her brothers! Posted by Picasa
