Playin' With Jane & Jack

Just a little snack...
Another great yard sale find- $8 sure was worth it, for all the smiles today! Eva played with her cousins Jane and Jack at Aunt/Grandma Donna's house today. We missed Margaret though- hopefully they'll all get a chance to play together sometime this weekend!

1st Annual Mother's Day Garden

Who needs a swing set when we have wheel barrows? And TRACTORS!? I thought BJ was going to come unglued when we said he could drive the tractor! He helped collect rocks with the tractor and trailer- and towed them around for us. It's nice to be able to move things around the property with the tractor- the kids love to volunteer! And we ended up borrowing the neighbor's tiller- ours needs a part that we have to order... and their 14 year old grandson delivered it in the bucket of the skidster... I do believe that we've officially become farmers!- (That, and we were at the Tractor Supply Store at 9AM on Mother's Day!!) I got my seeds planted- but there might be a frost tonight- so we didn't plant our tomato plants yet.

Work or PLAY?

The kids are having a great time out at our new place- we haven't moved yet- but we've been workin' on it!...with a little playing too!
Happy dog...
...and happy kids! (Except when Mommy wants them to help pull weeds!!)

Eva in the SINK!

Eva had to get in the sink for a little bath at Auntie Martha and Uncle Tom's- seems she touched the fiberglass boat and was itchy... She didn't seem too upset though- such a water girl! She's been swimming and in "accidental" turning the water on baths... but this was the first "on purpose" one she's had there! Something tells me she'll get into more things now that she knows she can get a special bath!
She's always SO CUTE!

BIG HOLE!

Big fat hole in the wall... big fat hole filled in! (Notice-- there's still no steps-- but we did get a lot done this weekend!)

Collin's Class Trip to the Zoo

What a CRAZY bunch of kids!!...
Eva and I joined Collin's class for the field trip- and I ended up with a group to walk with... we had a good time looking at all the "kitties"! (Every animal was a "kitty" to Eva!) Collin is such a good boy- he's a piece of cake to handle compared to his little friends- and I had the better behaved ones! Mrs. Shamon deserves a medal this year! She was a little frazzled at the end of the trip! It was a gorgeous day though- couldn't ask for better!

One Last Hurrah...

Well- yesterday the boys built a pickle nosed snowman- and today they're going up to the cemetery for one LAST sledding trip!!! (it better be the LAST!) Alex and Luke are in Oklahoma, so their sledding buddies are Josh and Trevor this time.

Playin' Car

Eva was zoomin' Margaret all over the house!!! When Papa Steve came over to pick Margaret up, he decided that they should go into the ice cream truck business in the summer (this car does have lovely music!) They're so cute together!

Aren't they handsome...
...and GOOFY! These are BJ's "buds": Eric, Kaylee and Alex (of course!)

They did a wonderful job- I couldn't take good photos in the auditorium but don't worry Grama- we have VIDEO!!!

The Boys

At least the boys were good...
... and handsome!
Eva laid down on the floor and refused any more photos- so I didn't get a good one of the three of them together. :(

Eva's Easter Dress

CUTE isn't she?
It didn't last long- she wouldn't cooperate for anymore pictures after this one... she threw a ROYAL FIT!

Egg Hunt

Eva got the concept right away about hunting for the Easter eggs- she was zipping around looking in shoes and in the cushions. When BJ or Collin found an egg, she'd grab it and put it in the carton. We had a quick timeout from hunting, while I scrubbed the egg dye out of the carpet though! One of the empty cartons had a puddle of dye in it- and of course in the excitement, it got FLUNG across the living room! (LOVE that Bissell Spotlifter!)

The Bunny Filled the Baskets!

The kids got new Yankee hats and some baseball gear- in addition to all the normal candy and gadgets. (Notice Eva's Valentine's Day/ Easter PJs that Grama made for her!!)

Coloring Easter Eggs

It was a quite a challenge to keep Eva from eating the eggs and drinking the food coloring!!... But we successfully colored 32 eggs... (we had a few casualties!)... and we only spilled once!

The Easter Bunny

Once again Eva was thrilled to SEE the bunny, but not to SIT with the bunny!! BJ didn't want to go up there either- he's too big... but he did it for his brother and sister. At least he's still a good sport about it!

Eva's Hair-Do

Eva's hair is finally long enough to put in a pony tail- SO CUTE!

Oh- and the last picture in the bunch- she's talkin' on her cell phone (Daddy gave her his old phone- the one he ran over with a lift at work!!)

The New Place

It was such a gorgeous day- and we got the siding done on the back of the house. We had a few extra "helpers"... well... they got to play in the woods anyway. I put new trim on the back door (had to get a little creative!) and painted the fascia and soffit almost all the way around the house. Of course our goals were totally unrealistic for only one day's work- but the guys got all the siding up that we needed to. (And I only had to go to Lowe's once!!!) We'll paint the rest of the house next time. It's supposed to rain tomorrow though. Everyone's exhausted-- including Hooch-- he was so good. Eva was great too- she's such an outdoors girl.
That will be our new address by the way (probably not until June or so though):
8772 Denman Rd.
Montezuma, NY 13117
I don't know if you can tell from this photo of all of us, but we're all VERY filthy! The addition part of the house was only covered in tar paper (that's why we needed to put siding on it!) Our "tenant" (the former owner) is a little CRAZY! Hopefully he'll be moving soon- as per our agreement- but we're not holding our breath for a SMOOTH transition. We have the law on our side though!! Wish us LUCK!
